Curator Protégé with Mentor Aryn Kresol

Aryn Kresol is the Curatiorial Assistant to the Milwaukee Art Museum, Chief Curator and is excited to work with a Mentee as part of the MARN Mentors program. In 2016/2017 seeks either a curator or emerging arts administrator that seeks to gain experience in how to curate, manage, promote, and maintain temporary public art that involves community engagement as a key component. 

Successful candidates will be highly organized and self motivated.

Curatorial proteges, unlike the fine arts tracks of MARNmentors, may still be in school.

  • Fine Arts proteges may not be pursuing a degree during their mentorship term. 
  • All applicants should submit a one page letter of intent (please include full contact info including e-mail and phone number on the top of the letter of intent). 
  • Visual Artists should include 10 samples of current work in jpg format with artist's last name as part of the file name, you may also include a "slide list". 
  • Music applicants should include up to 15 minutes of material. 
  • Tuition for MARNmentors is subsidized by grants and corporate support.  The full value of the program is well in excess of $1000 however due to the level of support this program garners we are able to offer a lowered tuition of $100 to all participants.  Those unable to pay may "earn" their tuition through volunteer activities.
