Kelly Aubin Belot

artist bio

Kelly Aubin Belot received her Masters of Education from Concordia University Mequon, Wisconsin in 2011. She completed her Masters of Art degree from New York University, New York New York, in 2007 and studied abroad at Scuola del Vetro Abate Zanetti (International School of Glass) in Venice Italy. From 2002-2006 she was an art educator at Woodstock High School in Woodstock Illinois. Currently she is an art specialist at Hamilton Sussex High School. She is a former member of the Glass Art Society and a current member of the Milwuakee Area Teachers of Art Board of Directors. She is has also been an active member of the Hank Aaron State Trail’s art committee since 2006. Kelly has her work in the permanent collection of the Zimmerman Architectural Studios in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in the Johnsburg Illinois Public Library collection. Her work is also published in the 2008 Bullseye E-merge catalog. Additionally she has worked as an instructor at Waukesha County Technical College, Cardinal Stritch and the Italian Community Center in Wisconsin.

artist statement

My work is a response to my environment, its history and my emotional state when I am creating the work. I use glass as a metaphor to visually describe my message to an audience.
