artist bio

Ashley is a proud MIAD graduate with a BFA in Communication Design. Since graduation, she has worked as both a graphic and interactive/web designer for the Milwaukee and Chicago offices of Hoffman York and is currently working on growing her own business, Jumpship Creative.

Wisconsin's Focus on Energy, Hunger Task Force, Advocate Hospitals, Yamaha, Swingline, Wisconsin Lottery, Wausau Paper, Arlington Park, The University of Notre Dame, Museum of Science and Industry, The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network and MIAD are some of the clients for whom she has designed a diverse range of work. Ashley relishes the opportunity to work across multiple mediums, implementing cohesive brand identities and advertising campaigns via print, television, web, packaging, outdoor and guerilla tactics.

As a designer and educator, Ashley focuses on open discussion and the importance of process. She believes that critique and a continual discussion of work not only benefit the creator, but everyone involved in the process. Learning to discuss and constructively critique work leads to thoughtful visual communications.

As an entrepreneur at Jumpship Creative, the focus is the client. As designers it is our responsibility to create unique, memorable, smart design. Smart design that serves people. The work we do isn't about making things pretty: it's about solving real business problems with creative thinking and a unique approach.
