  • “Man on Fire”Man on Fire

My Commander encouraged me to share some of my artwork to an online publication for soldiers and vets. My good friend was burned really bad in Iraq, I made him this painting and his nieces call him Uncle Fire.

  • “Fear Scream”Fear Scream

My Commander encouraged me to share some of my artwork to an online publication for soldiers and vets. The green figure is sick with fear. The illness has latched onto their shoulder and paralyzed them with toxic fear. Screaming about it doesn't seem to be helping the situation.

  • “Disgusto the Clown”Disgusto the Clown

My Commander encouraged me to share some of my artwork to an online publication for soldiers and vets. Disgusto enjoys huffing paint by the alley dumpster giving away smiles, balloons, and naughty tickles.

artist bio

I create visual art to express myself and to share what I've experienced. After retiring from the Army in 2017 as an Airborne Infantryman, I've transitioned to a full time student at UW Milwaukee Peck School of Art studying Digital Design and Fabrication.

artist statement

My work is a reflection of my memories of times spent in a war zones, and the small nuggets of joy I held onto deep in my brain. And maintaining a balance between a sense of individuality in a military culture where uniformity and indoctrination into a cohesive unit makes or breaks success.
