artist statement

Marian Vieux, Nature Inspired Fine Art & Design

The purpose of my work is to manifest an understanding of the magical, mysterious forces I experience in Nature. My process of exploration includes Public and Private Site Specific Installation Sculpture; photo and digital documentation, further amplifying the experience; and 3-D mixed media, wall decor sculpture that personify the experience.

My artistic work represents a life of divining, discovering, and collecting motifs found in nature and our ancient ancestral heritage. These motifs are energized as the result of an artistic action, interaction that evokes the natural empowering beauty and experience inherent in our human identity. These motifs are intended to encourage, inspire, and awaken; here, resides the opportunity, as an observer and creator, to live Art and Nature personally, symbolically, and spiritually.

“This is the third pair I have bought. The first one was for myself and the other two have made wonderful gifts for friends. Light weight and such fun to wear. Great earrings!”
“Jane: I love them....I love them...I just love them!”
