I am an Art Professional

artist bio

I create eclectic and one-of-a-kind jewelry and pottery. I have always enjoyed creating with my hands. I began creating jewelry about 3 years ago after I had taken a lampwork beadmaking class and needed to figure out what to do with all the beads I made. It also is a craft that takes less workspace, of which I am limited in at this time. I have really enjoyed the vast possibilities within the realm of jewelry making; all the different mediums and types of materials one can work with. I particularly enjoy wireworking. Recently I have taken this a step further and set up a jewelry kiln in my basement. I now fuse my own dichroic glass pieces to use as pendants or earrings and even rings. Nearly a year ago I discovered a fabulous pottery studio in Wauwatosa - Creative Fire Pottery. I fell in love with working with clay. In addition to making larger items I began making components to incorporate into my jewelry making. The result is an eclectic array of jewelry of all styles and fun and functional pottery. I started doing some small shows last November and am jumping right in to my first full season of local shows this year.

In addition to making pieces that I love and attempting to sell them at shows, I hope to expand my business to include making custom pieces to order, teaching classes in both mediums, throwing making parties in both mediums, and putting on home parties with either or both mediums the star of the show.
