Miranda Levy grew up in Wilton, Wisconsin and joined the military at seventeen. She proudly served eight years in the Army as a construction equipment mechanic. Shortly after her tour on Active Duty, she attended UW-Milwaukee where she received her BFA in 2009. Throughout her career as an artist/fashion designer, she has competed in several local juried exhibitions. Levy’s couture designs have been the highlight of several fashion shows including Run Up to the Runway at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Her fashions have also been featured in several editorials including M magazine, and INFO magazine. Her designs directly relate to her military experience exploring the use of camouflage to expose and disguise the female body. Levy’s fashions allow women to have a strong identity while wearing her one-of-a-kind garments.
