Creative Capital Professional Development Program

The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network is thrilled to present the Creative Capital Professional Development Program in Milwaukee. Developed by Artists for Artists, the PDP provides Career, Community and Confidence Building tools to help ALL Artists become SUCCESSFUL Artists.

The MARN Creative Capital PDP will be held on Friday May 31, Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2, 2013. Milwaukee Artists of all disciplines with paid MARN memberships are invited to apply using the application information below. MARN membership costs $35 annually and sign up is easy at

Please respond to each of the following questions. Retype the questions and use them as headers for each answer.

CV (Two (2) Pages Maximum)

Please provide a CV containing an overview of your experience and other qualifications. A CV elaborates to a greater degree than a résumé and is expected to include a comprehensive listing of professional history, academic credential, publication, contribution, exhibition record or significant achievement.



-Visual Artists: Please select five (5) digital images that best represent your work. Number them with your last name and the numbers 1 through 5 and save as jpeg files (max 600 pixels in any direction, 72 dpi). Work Sample List should contain the following information about each work: Your name, Title, Date, Medium and Size.

-Literary Artists: Please send up to one (1) chapter of a book or selections from your work. Work Sample List should contain the following information about your work: Your name, Title, Length of the work, Whether or not it has been published and Date of completion.

-Performing, Sound and Film/Video Artists: Please send up to three (3) pieces of your work cued for review and totaling no more than 10 minutes. Work Sample List should include the following information about your work: Your name, Title, Date of completion, Brief description of each work and Instructions about cueing the selections to be reviewed.



By submitting this application I certify that I meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

-I am an active artist who creates original work as my primary focus (versus interpreting the work of others or performing in others’ work);

-Working for at least five years as an artist;

-Not currently in a degree-granting program;

-Able to attend the entire three-day retreat (Friday, Saturday and Sunday);

-Not a current Creative Capital grantee/recipient;

-Have not attended a Creative Capital workshop before
