re: Current Work I have a 75 mile commute to work and I am often conflicted about my carbon footprint and at the same time captivated by the landscape of the road I see almost daily. These prints are a suite of fifteen piezographic prints (five triptychs) and represent a relative landscape which attempts to reference both a hope for the future and a simultaneous recognition of the very real possibility of eco-catastrophe. Some of these images engage an ominous mobile viewpoint, and others, moments of stillness and reflection. They can be seen to represent pretty much anywhere/everywhere the highway goes. Perhaps what we might see out of the corners of our eyes as we flee... perhaps what we stop to remember….
