artist bio
Proud to be one of Waukesha's Guitar Town Artists! In 2013 I painted a playable Gibson Guitar for Waukesha's Guitar Town Celebration. My guitar is titled Farmer's Market and is sponsored by Good Harvest Market. I hold a B.F.A. in Studio Art and Art Education from the Univeristy of Arizona,Tucson, and a Masters in Education from Carroll University Waukesha. After teaching elementary art in the public schools for 12 years I have "retired" and I am teaching art clases from my studio in Waukesha. I am married to my amazing husband Joel and we have a dog Colby and a cat Jack. I live in Waukesha as well as have studio space there.
artist statement
I am a visual artist working in acrylics and watercolor. The overarching theme for my paintings on canvas and paper is A Beautiful Life. I paint fresh florals, cocktails, desserts, fruits, veggies, everyday objects, birds, horses, landscapes, and waterscapes. I teach art classes in acrylic, watercolor, Alcohol Inks, hand lettering, paint pouring, wool felting, yarn punching, silk scarf painting, mixed media, printmaking and kids classes.
